Our Foundation
Steward & Seed Digital Bookkeeping LLC was founded on a simple belief: financial records deserve more than accuracy alone. They deserve faithful stewardship.
I'm Rachel Langan, founder and owner. My journey into accounting began early. In high school, a career mentorship program led to a paid placement within the business and accounting department at General Motors. This early exposure to corporate operations and financial data sparked a lifelong appreciation for organized records. I continued down this path at Rose State College, earning an Associate in Science degree in business, which led to a role in the Financial Services Department at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. There, I managed vendor information, supported payment distribution, and maintained critical financial records.
A Season of Service & The Trades
Eventually, the Lord led me into a different season—one centered on raising and homeschooling my children. During these years, I stayed connected to administrative work through my church, serving as church secretary and clerk. In addition to coordinating volunteers and documenting council meetings, this role brought me into regular contact with both facility contractors and skilled church members who worked in the trades.
It was through these interactions that my appreciation for the trades truly grew. I watched these professionals use their hands and talents to serve the ministry, often giving generously of their time and skilled handiwork to meet the church's needs. I also experienced their generosity firsthand when they provided discounted or complimentary repairs for my own family during tight financial seasons. Their willingness to meet practical needs left a lasting impression on me. I saw clearly how an honest day's work in the trades could ease a family's burdens.
The Vision for Steward & Seed
As my children have grown and our family enters a new season, the opportunity to return to my longstanding passion for accounting has taken shape. Founding Steward & Seed allows me to merge my professional foundation in accounting with the values of integrity, diligence, and service strengthened through years of family and church life.
Today, Steward & Seed provides remote bookkeeping and accounting support to service based businesses, with a special focus on the skilled trades.
Our work is guided by biblical principles of stewardship—standards we hold ourselves to in serving our clients, not expectations we place upon them. We welcome the opportunity to serve business owners from all backgrounds with the same high level of professionalism, respect, and care.
Looking toward 2027, we are also preparing to extend our services to churches, ministries, and nonprofit organizations, reflecting the same heart for meaningful service that inspired our launch.

We begin by learning about your business, how the financial activity flows behind your work, your current bookkeeping needs, and where Steward & Seed may be able to help.
2. Assess
For existing books, the Storehouse Assessment gives us a closer look at the condition of your financial records, identifies areas that may require correction, and provides the information needed to define the appropriate scope of service.
3. Restore & Prepare
When historical corrections are needed, we work to bring financial records into order according to the agreed scope. For clients beginning ongoing bookkeeping services, we also establish the systems, workflows, and financial organization needed for a dependable transition into monthly service.
4. Cultivate
Through consistent monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, source-document review, and accurate reporting, we faithfully maintain the financial records behind your work so you can remain focused on the work entrusted to your hands.
